Nathan will be attending Emily Carr University of Art & Design up in Vancouver BC, Canada this fall to study stop-motion animation. There’s not a lot of art schools on the West Coast, let alone ones that feature stop-motion animation in the curriculum, so his family is absolutely thrilled he got into here. He will be graduating from Central Catholic. He won two awards at Central: the Person for Others award, and the Moment of Genius award. Senior awards have not been announced yet. His favorite memory at Holy Cross was when Mr. Davis taught a special in animation. Nathan felt like Mr. Davis and Holy Cross went out of their way to offer a class just for him and his passion, and he was so amazed and grateful for that. Nathan posts his art and animation on his Instagram at @nathan_stop_motion, so you can see what he’s been up to. He loves hearing from other classmates and teachers
